KAMBO Treatment

Kambô is a secretion from one of the largest Hylid frogs known as the Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog. Its scientific name is Phyllomedusa Bicolor. The secretion is not a sweat nor a poison in the sense that it alone is not capable of causing death, or illness. In the Amazon, it is regarded as a medicine however this should not be confused with the western definition of a medicine. Kambô is not a medicine and those that administer it are practitioners and not doctors.

The popularity and use of Kambô as a natural support to healing is spreading worldwide. As the scientific research into the secretion of the Phyllomedusa Bicolor grows, skilled practitioners are also developing new ways to work with this powerful substance from the Amazonian Rain Forest, which allows it to be accessible to almost everyone in a safe and manageable way.

Not only do we now have a number of different traditional ways to take Kambô but we can also work with the Meridians, the Chakras, Nadis and Marma Points and even the ears – Auricular Kambô. Added to this, there are also new techniques to allow people to take Kambô in a way that is gentler on their system but still allows them to enjoy the maximum benefits.

An Italian scientist, Vittorio Erspamer of the University of Rome was the first person to research Kambô in a laboratory. In 1986, he wrote that it contains a ‘fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications, unequalled by any other amphibian’.

The chemicals he referred to, are peptides. The peptides studied by Erspamer have become essential to characterize the functional role of opioid receptors. He was twice nominated for a Nobel Prize and was also the person who first discovered Serotonin. Sixteen peptides have since been isolated from the secretion and several have been synthesized. Currently there are over 70 Kambô patents lodged, mainly in the USA.

Kambo has a profound effect on the immune system and people who use Kambo regularly rarely if ever get sick. Kambo also acts as powerful natural anti-inflammatory and anesthetic so anybody with chronic pain could also benefit from it.  It is also believed to move Panemà - or the dark spirits in ones aura or psyche.

Kambô is very safe but should always be taken with a properly trained practitioner administering and supervising the treatments at all times. Certain health conditions prevent some people from taking Kambô just like some situations require special precautions. Please fill out my Client Intake Form HERE we will schedule a call to discuss your health history and determine if it is safe for you to take KambÔ.

What My Clients Say

When I received my first KAMBO treatment with Jana, I literally had no expectations whatsoever! It was INCREDIBLE. Jana offered an overall “wellness” session and treated my lower back for pain and an injury that I have had for 6 years. This secretion is so effective I couldn’t believe it! My back pain, which has been a very dull pain for a very long time is completely gone, months later still! Although it is a somewhat unconventional, with Jana, the experience is very professional and calming. She truly understands the Kambo and is there supporting and assisting the entire time. To be honest, once the treatment is finished, the results were almost instant for me. I felt mentally clear and energized, pain free and charged for weeks after. I cannot wait for another session. I highly highly recommend this treatment.
